Volunteer

A second chance that became a mission to give back

Having once needed support himself, this participant returned to Prismstart as a volunteer. He now supports new candidates through the same process he once found daunting — attending job fairs, mentoring individuals in custody, and helping others see that a fresh start is genuinely possible regardless of their past.

Craig Webb teaching oxford College students about business and work life

Craig Webb

Craig brings over 30 years of real-world experience across two industries that between them employ millions of people in the UK: hospitality and digital marketing.

He spent three decades working in hotels, 20 of those as a General Manager. That means he has done virtually every job a hotel has to offer, from the front desk to the back office, from housekeeping to F&B, from recruitment to running the full operation. He knows what good looks like in hospitality, what employers actually need from their staff, and how to spot potential in people that others might overlook.

Three years ago, Craig built a Hotel digital marketing agency from the ground up, with no blueprint and no safety net. He did it himself. That experience gives him a practical, no-nonsense understanding of what it takes to start something, grow something, and make it work in the real world.

At Prism Start, Craig uses both of those worlds to do something genuinely useful. Working with employers in hospitality and digital marketing, he helps identify, train, and prepare candidates from some of the most overlooked talent pools in the UK: young people trying to find their footing, adults who have faced homelessness, vulnerable people who need the right support to get started, and those with convictions who deserve a proper second chance.

This is not about ticking boxes. It is about understanding what employers actually need and matching that with people who, given the right training and the right opportunity, will deliver it.

Craig has sat on both sides of the table. He has hired, managed, and developed people throughout his career. He has also built something from nothing. That combination is rare, and it is exactly what Prism Start is built on.
